My journey into entrepreneurship started with a belief that luxury could evolve into something kinder, more conscious, and more aligned with the future.

I founded VOGAYA, a plant-leather luxury handbag brand designed in Dubai and created for a new generation of conscious consumers. We work with innovative materials made from coffee and bamboo to create refined, timeless handbags that combine elevated design with a more responsible vision of luxury.

Before launching VOGAYA, I spent years working in operations, sustainability, and customer experience in Dubai. Over time, I became increasingly aware of the disconnect between modern values and many traditional industries, especially fashion. Luxury is still heavily built around animal leather, despite the ethical and environmental impact connected to it. Behind the image of exclusivity are systems linked to animal suffering, toxic chemical tanning, and significant environmental harm. I felt there was an opportunity, and responsibility, to help create something better.

That belief became VOGAYA.

From the beginning, I never wanted to create an “alternative” product. I wanted to build a true luxury brand that could stand confidently on its own. A brand proving that beauty, craftsmanship, innovation, and values do not need to exist separately.

Launching VOGAYA earlier this year has been one of the most defining milestones of my life. Since launching in February, we have already received international orders, been recognized by The Sustainability Awards as “Best New Brand,” and were featured editorially in Marie Claire Arabia. These milestones feel especially meaningful because building a new business during a period of regional conflict has not been easy. It has been an emotional and uncertain time across the region, which is why I celebrate these moments even more. They remind me that purpose, resilience, and belief truly matter.

The values that drive my leadership are integrity, empathy, innovation, and long-term thinking. The philosophy behind VOGAYA is deeply rooted in kindness, not as a soft concept, but as a powerful force capable of shaping industries, leadership, and culture itself. I believe kindness toward animals, people, and the planet should become part of the future of luxury. In many ways, I believe kindness is becoming the new status symbol.

The “Give to Gain” philosophy strongly resonates with me because I believe meaningful success starts with contribution. Whether through creating products with better values, supporting more conscious innovation, or inspiring people to think differently about consumption, I believe what you put into the world eventually comes back in meaningful ways. Through VOGAYA, my goal is not only to create beautiful handbags, but also to contribute to a larger shift toward more conscious consumption and more responsible innovation within fashion.

My advice to the next generation of women is to trust your vision, especially when it challenges traditional systems or expectations. Some of the most meaningful progress happens because someone dares to question what society has accepted for decades. Women have a unique opportunity to lead the next generation of businesses with both strength and empathy at the center.

VOGAYA represents far more than fashion. It represents the belief that luxury can evolve into something kinder, more conscious and more aligned with the world we want to create.
