About Leanne Foy, CEO and Founder, Foy&Co.

Leanne moved from London to Dubai in 2016 to become General Manager for PRCA MENA (Public Relations Consultants Association). During her time as GM, she supercharged membership growth, introduced PRCA MENA to a global audience and established a world class awards programme. Leanne has continued to nurture her network, share her passion for PR and Communications across the region and gone on to set up her own consultancy.

In 2021, Leanne founded Foy&Co. when she saw a gap in the market for a B2B consultancy that could bring more energy and passion to corporate events. Her boutique consultancy is dedicated to crafting transformative experiences, where excellence in event management meets collaborative success.

Alongside her business, Leanne supports organisations aiming to drive diversity and inclusion across the MENA marcomms industry. She is the host of The Marketing Society’s THINK EQUAL podcast which shines a light on inspiring leaders who are dedicated to levelling the marcomms playing field.

About her thoughts for the industry

When it comes to the events industry in the UAE, innovation is everywhere. Marketing and communication professionals are evolving at pace; enhancing their skills, improving their products and services and meeting the demands of digitisation and globalised markets.

Since moving to Dubai, I’ve seen the industry grow and flourish. The biggest changes I’ve witnessed since being in the UAE is how the traditional media landscape is adapting in light of social media and emerging digital channels. Also, reputation management is more critical than ever as online brand image can make or break growth opportunities.

The evolution of the marketing industry has given rise to data-driven insights, real time analytics and advanced measurement techniques. Marketers are stepping up and refining strategies and optimising campaigns. The result? Incredible growth across the region. It is wonderful to see.

As we move forward, the dynamic nature of the industry promises even more exciting developments. I believe that this year, the UAE will continue to establish its position as a hub of innovation and excellence in events and marketing.
