During the holy month of Ramadan, McDonald’s Saudi Arabia supported 2500 families in need with boxes of primary food supplies across 10 cities in the Western & Southern region of Saudi Arabia, as part of its ongoing ‘Share the Goodness’ initiative.
Through the National Donations Platform and in collaboration with local charities, McDonald’s lent a helping hand to families in major cities that they operate in the Western & Southern region of the Kingdom: Jeddah, Makkah, Madinah, Taif, Yanbu, Tabuk, Abha, Khamis Mushait, Jazan, and Al-Baha.
Multiple charities participated in this effort and contributed to making it a success, namely Al-Birr Association in Jeddah, Al-Birr Association in Makkah, Al-Birr Association in Al-Baha, Al-Birr Association in Abu Arish, King Abdulaziz Charitable Association in Tabuk, Hefz Al-Nemah Association in Asir, Robban Youth Association in Yanbu, Ikram Lihafz Al-Nemah Association in Khamis Mushait, Association Neighborhood Centers in Madinah, and a neighborhood in Taif in collaboration with its mayor.
McDonald’s employees from all across the Western & Southern region participated in this initiative whether it’s from the packing of the charity boxes or their distribution and were pleased to know that their efforts helped in making a positive change in the community.
Under the efforts of “Share the Goodness”, McDonald’s strives to take a bigger step in supporting the community and has announced that it will be hiring 100 orphans as well as 50 heroes with special needs by the end of 2022, in collaboration with multiple local associations.
These associations participating in making this initiative a success include: Kafel Association for the Orphan Care in Makkah, Ekhaa Charitable Association for Orphan Care in Makkah, Asir, and Jazan , Orphan Care Association in Tabuk, Madinah’s Down Syndrome Association Irada Association for Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities in Asir, and Help Center in Jeddah.
McDonald’s is proud of being able to share goodness in different shapes and forms and create unique moments of happiness for the community.
