Nine YouTube creators from across the region will challenge each other to post a video each of them preparing an Iftar meal

Dubai, UAE – Nine YouTube creators from across the Middle East and North Africa kicked off the #YouTube’sKitchen cook-a-thon, a nine day event with daily videos of creators preparing Iftar for themselves and loved ones. The YouTube creators come from Saudi Arabia, Syria, Palestine, Kuwait, Egypt, Iraq, and Lebanon.

“To many of us around the world, this will be the second Ramadan spent far away from our loved ones. While nothing is like being with family and friends, the tradition of coming together to prepare and have Iftar with friends and family is one of my favorite things about the holy month. This nine-day cooking marathon by the YouTube creator community will celebrate this essential part of Ramadan as millions of people watch their favorite creators prepare an Iftar meal everyday and invite others to do the same” said Tarek Amin, Director of Partnerships for the Middle East and North Africa at YouTube.

The Anasala family posted the first video on Sunday April 25, in which their daughter Mila helped prepare the iftar meal for the day. At the end of each video, the creator will pass the cooking spoon to another creator until the last video goes live on May 3, which will be on Lama Sherief channel.
