VML Dubai’s new campaign for Hungerstation turns thousands of movies and series into a real-time way to discover and order food, so streaming audiences in Saudi Arabia can finally eat what they see on screen.

For years, viewers have watched their favourite characters bite into perfect slices of pizza, towering burgers, late night sandwiches or iconic plates of spaghetti and thought: I wish I could eat that right now. In Saudi Arabia, where more than twenty four million people (Source: Statista Market Insights, 2025) stream films and series, that feeling has become part of everyday life.

Hungerstation, the leading delivery app in the Kingdom, and its creative partner VML decided to close the gap between what people watch and what they eat. The result is Hungerflix, the first food delivery experience designed to serve users the same kind of food they see on screen.

Instead of starting with a list of cuisines or restaurant names, Hungerflix begins with the title viewers are already watching. Using machine learning, Hungerstation and VML built a database of more than ten thousand movies and series, identifying the most iconic dishes from each. Menus from over two thousand partner restaurants were then matched to those dishes, creating local, deliverable versions of famous screen foods.

For users, the experience is simple: type a movie or series title, Hungerflix then surfaces the dish associated with that title and shows nearby restaurants that can prepare it. With a single tap, the meal moves from the screen to their doorstep, allowing them to eat along with their favourite characters.

As streaming continues to grow across Saudi Arabia, Hungerflix gives Hungerstation customers a new way to discover food and enjoy delivery. It connects two familiar habits, watching and eating, and turns them into one connected moment.

“HungerFlix turns film food from fantasy into something you can actually taste at home.  If you’re already craving what you see on screen, why not be able to order it? said Aricio Fortes, Chief Creative Officer at VML UAE.

“At Hungerstation, we are always looking for ways to make ordering food more intuitive and more enjoyable,” said Abdullah Elrabaa, Senior Director of Growth and Performance at Hungerstation “Hungerflix lets our customers turn their favourite films and series into real meals in their own homes. It makes the experience of ordering food feel fresh and personal.”

With Hungerflix, what you see is what you eat.
