The serial-winning global indie secures the retainer for the disruptive, world leading crypto platform following competitive pitch.

Dubai, [11/09/24] Global creative communications agency The Romans has secured the MENA PR work for Binance, the world’s largest crypto exchange by volume. The agency will be responsible for delivering ambitious, conceptual creative PR, as well as building on the company’s strong thought leadership platform in the virtual assets space.

The Romans pipped major agencies to the account following a competitive pitch process, through its unique blend of delivering insight through culture and award-winning creativity.

The partnership comes shortly after Binance reached the two million user mark worldwide, as well as securing its VASP license from Dubai’s Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA). The achievement being a major milestone in Binance’s journey to nurturing the future of digital assets. Founded in 2017, the platform grew into the number one digital asset exchange in just 180 days. Its global community of ‘Binancians’ will descend on Dubai in October for its annual Binance Blockchain Week event.

Samantha Fuller, Head of Communications, Middle East and Africa, Binance, said, “The Romans has built an enviable reputation worldwide for thought-provoking earned campaigns that strike at the heart of culture. Binance is one of the world’s most disruptive entities today, changing the financial landscape. The MENA region is at the core of that change and we needed an agency that could generate creative work that equals that ambition and innovation, while speaking to our Binance community of millions.”

Joe Lipscombe, Partner, The Romans, added: “The Romans has built its name by partnering with innovators that challenge the status quo. I can’t think of a more appropriate brand that fits that description than Binance. Beyond the insider crypto community, Binance’s significance is growing within all areas of culture and society as a force for financial freedom and inclusion. We can’t wait to support that transformation in one of the most important markets in the world.”

The announcement comes off the back of a flurry of major wins in the region, alongside a number of key hires.

The Romans has a global headcount of more than 160, with offices located in London, New York, Amsterdam, and Dubai.
