Listeners in Egypt can unlock “Your Summer Persona”, a new personalised in-app experience that turns their summer vibe into a shareable identity, complete with a persona card and a playlist curated by Spotify’s editorial team.

Your Summer Persona, Live Now
“Your Summer Persona” asks listeners how they spend the season, then matches them to one of four summer personas, each with its own vibe, visual world, and curated playlist.
King of the Road — The road-trip ringleader. Always planning the next drive, always on AUX. For them, the journey is the destination.
Sahel Superstar — Beach-club royalty. From sunset sessions to the full North Coast scene, they bring the outfits, the energy, and the vibe.
The Life of the Party — The main character of every gathering. High energy, always in the middle of it, and the reason the night keeps going.
The Chill Master — Calm, easygoing, and unbothered. Slow beach days, bonfires, good conversations, and zero pressure.
Each listener receives a shareable persona card that can be saved, sent to friends, or uploaded to social platforms.
Coming Soon: Your Summer Era
The summer reveal does not stop there. On August 1, Spotify will introduce “Your Summer Era”, the second phase of the experience, which looks at summer through the lens of decades.
Listeners will be invited to guess which musical era best matches their summer sound, from the 70s and 80s to the 90s, 00s and 10s, before Spotify reveals the era shaped by their listening behaviour. Whether they guess correctly or take a playful detour first, each listener will unlock a decade-matched playlist made for their summer.

Ahead of the official Songs of Summer 2026 reveal, Spotify’s editorial team has shared three early picks expected to soundtrack the season in Egypt.

- “As You Know” by ZIAD ZAZA, TURK, & KUKII
A soft-pop romantic ballad built for repeat listening, “As You Know” leans into a laid-back mood rather than chasing the high-energy summer anthem. It is the kind of track made for a summer road trip or a quiet moment by the beach.
Bringing the Experience to Life
To mark the launch, Spotify partnered with e11vn to host an evening with Cairo’s creative community, bringing the summer experience beyond the screen and into real life.
Guests discovered their personas firsthand through interactive moments including live persona readings and the Summer Mailbox activation, where they answered prompts and dropped their responses into a custom Spotify mailbox. The night was soundtracked by DJ Jess and DJ Ali, who brought the songs of summer to life with special sets for the community.
