UM Marks 8th Annual Impact Day with a Day of Local Community Action
Agency mobilises across region for community action as part of global commitment to local impact and social responsibility.
Dubai, July 11, 2025 – UM, a media agency within IPG Mediabrands, marked its 8th annual Impact Day on 10th July 2025, dedicating time and effort to support local community organisations and causes.

This established annual tradition saw UM team members step away from their media planning responsibilities to create tangible impact within their local communities. The MENAT teams joined thousands of UM colleagues worldwide in this synchronised act of service, demonstrating the shared commitment across the agency to create real, local impact on a global scale.
This year’s community-focused initiatives reflected UM’s core values and underscored the agency’s belief that corporate responsibility extends far beyond business operations into authentic community partnership and support.
Across the MENAT region, UM teams orchestrated a range of volunteer and fundraising initiatives that delivered direct impact:
- Hosting a bake sale and visiting young patients at Al Jalila Children’s Specialty Hospital to distribute gifts and bring moments of joy and comfort during their treatment journey.
- Welcoming Qatar Academy students for an immersive day exploring media, AI, and advertising innovation.
- Volunteering with children with disabilities at Sesobel, engaging in interactive games, entertainment, and a shared lunch.
- Visiting elderly residents at Farah Specialist Center, hosting entertainment, memory activities, and a catered lunch.
Susan Kingston-Brown, UM Global President, said: “Impact Day is a hugely important day in UM’s calendar, and one that means so much to our people all around the world. It’s a day that embodies our belief in vibrant, community-rooted action, where we come together outside the busy days of media to give back to our communities and to the causes that matter most to us personally.”
Joe Nicolas, CEO UM MENAT, added: “In our region, where community and human connection are at the heart of our culture, Impact Day allows our teams to live these values authentically. It’s a day that reminds us that our greatest privilege is the opportunity to serve others, and our greatest strength comes from the bonds we build within our communities.”
