PepsiCo Celebrates Emirates Mars Mission With Special Edition Pepsi® Cans In Honor Of UAE’s Golden Jubilee
Dubai, United Arab Emirates – 30 November 2021 – PepsiCo, the global food and beverage company, officially unveiled special edition UAE National Day Pepsi® cans, commemorating one of the nation’s greatest achievements, the Emirates Mars Mission, in celebration of the UAE’s Golden Jubilee.
The special edition Pepsi and Expo 2020 Dubai co-branded commemorative cans were designed reflecting the Emirates Mars Mission “Hope Probe” to not only celebrate UAE’s 50 years of great achievements but also the new era of exploration, ambition and knowledge that will shape the country’s future. The cans also feature PepsiCo’s partnership with Expo 2020 Dubai, further testifying to its commitment to the UAE.

Since entering the country in 1962, PepsiCo has been committed to contributing meaningfully to the country through numerous investments, innovations, and initiatives, in line with the country’s vision. These efforts include PepsiCo’s role as Official Beverage and Snack partner at Expo 2020 Dubai, where its innovative packaging solutions, and recycling and waste-diversion initiatives are contributing to the drive towards a circular economy in the UAE. Also, in favor of the nation’s push for renewable energy sources, PepsiCo’s bottler, Dubai Refreshment Company, built a solar-powered facility as part of its commitment to PepsiCo’s sustainability agenda, achieving 30 per cent in energy savings and reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 4MM kg per year. PepsiCo, together with Dubai Refreshment Company employs more than 1,300 people in its offices and 5 warehouses across the Emirates and has invested over AED 1 billion in its bottling partners, Dubai Refreshment Company and Abu Dhabi Refreshment Company.
In addition to contributing to the country’s economic growth, over the years, PepsiCo has initiated various partnerships and programs involving youth development, female empowerment, sustainability, as well as global and community support, with the goal of giving back to the communities it operates in. The special edition Pepsi cans are available from 1st December in modern trade, traditional retailers, and eateries across the United Arab Emirates.
