The agency’s success is led by two award-winning campaigns, including AnNahar’s historic first-ever Grand LIA in Democracy and Human Rights.

Dubai, UAE, November 4, 2026 – IMPACT BBDO has been named MEA Agency of the Year at the 2026 London International Awards (LIA), marking another major milestone for the agency and reinforcing its position as one of the region’s leading creative powerhouses.

The recognition celebrates an outstanding show of creative achievement, led by two award-winning campaigns: The Untaught History Edition, created for AnNahar, and Limitless Learning, created for Google Gemini.

The defining moment of the agency’s LIA success came with The Untaught History Edition, which made history by winning the inaugural Grand LIA in the newly established Democracy and Human Rights category. The landmark award recognised a campaign that went beyond traditional communication to address one of Lebanon’s most significant challenges: the absence of a unified, truthful account of the country’s modern history in its school curriculum.

Drawing on more than eight decades of AnNahar’s journalistic archives, the campaign used the newspaper itself as the country’s first independently-verified history volume, making it accessible for the first time to a new generation of Lebanese.

The Grand LIA was accompanied by multiple Gold and Silver awards, making the campaign the most celebrated piece of work from the MEA region at this year’s festival, and also contributing to AnNahar being named the MEA Brand of the Year.

The agency’s second recognised campaign, Limitless Learning for Google Gemini, further demonstrated IMPACT BBDO’s ability to turn technology and product innovation into compelling creative ideas with cultural relevance.

Ali Rez, Regional Chief Creative Officer at IMPACT BBDO, said:

“The MEA Agency of the Year title reflects IMPACT BBDO’s commitment to creating work that competes at the highest level. We continue to champion the kind of creativity that solves business problems, while delivering on cultural impact – as is demonstrated in our winning work for AnNahar and Google Gemini. I’m immensely proud of our people, and our client partners who trust us to think big.”

Barbara Levy, President of London International Awards, said:

“IMPACT BBDO’s achievement at LIA 2026 is a testament to the power of ambitious, meaningful and impactful creativity. The Untaught History Edition is particularly significant, as it represents the very spirit of our inaugural Democracy and Human Rights category. It signifies work that uses creativity to stand for something bigger than a brand. It is a powerful example of how our industry can make a genuine contribution to society. We congratulate the entire IMPACT BBDO team on this outstanding recognition.”

This is IMPACT BBDO’s third time in five years to be named the MEA Agency of the Year at LIA, and is part of a spectacular year of wins for the agency in which they have topped the region at D&AD, One Show, AdFest and WARC Effectiveness.
