#BetterwithGemini social campaign to help Saudi and Egyptian internet users learn about GenAI and its uses

Dubai, July 18 – Google recently launched a media campaign to promote its  generative AI tool, Gemini, to users in Saudi Arabia and Egypt. The campaign on social media aims to reach GenZ+ audiences through a series of video ads with regional content creators to raise awareness about Gemini and how to use it.

The campaign, called #BetterwithGemini, runs in July and August and aims to encourage users to use Gemini everyday whether that is for planning a trip or applying for a job.  The campaign features different use cases from creative tasks like writing a script or planning a travel itinerary, or more daily productivity uses like translating a text or preparing for an interview.

The campaign also features regional influencers from Saudi Arabia and Egypt such as the adventurer Mohamed ElHady who asks Gemini for help with a full day itinerary in Lahore, Pakistan and just 10 USD budget. Another example is Assem Kamal who uses Gemini to recycle an old bathroom sink into a decorative plant pot.

Gemini, known previously as Bard, was launched in Arabic last July. Gemini understands prompts in over 16 Arabic dialects, and in turn shares responses in Modern Standard Arabic (MSA).

Google worked with Impact BBDO, Kijami and Media Futures Group on the end to end campaign.
