Farah Amhaz steps into crucial position as Head of Brand – Chevrolet for Africa and the Middle East as Dalina Suriel takes on role as Head of Public Relations & Communications and Strategic Advisor

MIDDLE EAST — General Motors Africa and Middle East continues its commitment to diversity and inclusion with the announcement of the appointment of Farah Amhaz as the new Head of Brand for Chevrolet in the region, and Dalina Suriel as her successor as the new Head of Public Relations & Communications and Strategic Advisor. Underpinned by the knowledge that diverse perspectives and a dynamic team are at the heart of current and future business success, the appointments will also contribute to GM AMEO’s alignment with the UAE’s 2021 gender balance vision. 

In her role, Amhaz will shape the Chevrolet brand, through the development and implementation of effective marketing strategies to optimize both brand and nameplate performance. Amhaz will also be responsible for expanding Chevrolet’s regional footprint, improving brand health and increasing profitability, while leading marketing teams and agencies.

Starting her career with GM as an intern in 2005, Amhaz has thrived, holding several positions in the business network. Having previously led the Public Relations and Communications teams across Chevrolet, Cadillac and GMC, Amhaz already has extensive experience within the marketing ecosystem.

Dalina Suriel, as the new Head of Public Relations & Communications and Strategic Advisor, succeeds Amhaz, leading the brands’ communication teams across the region. Responsible for strategizing and executing all communications across internal and external stakeholders including customers, dealers, government officials and partners, Suriel will also oversee PR and events agencies.

Suriel’s tremendous drive and ambition has propelled her through various leadership roles in the Global Purchasing and Supply Chain organization, most recently holding the position of Supply Chain Warehouse & Logistics Manager.
