IMPACT BBDO wins one of only five Grand Prix given this year.

Cresta Awards have announced their 2022 winners, and IMPACT BBDO have won a Grand Prix with The Elections Edition, a campaign for AnNahar Newspaper. There were only five Grands Prix given globally this year and IMPACT BBDO are the only ones from the Middle East to win one. The Elections Edition, which also won Gold in ambient and experiential, won the Grand Prix for Innovation in Print or Out of Home.

The UAE had other winners with work coming mostly from campaigns by the UAE Government Media Office including The Donation Plate, A Winter Through My Eyes, The Warm Winter Livestream, Influencer Campaigns, The Visitor from the Future, and a collaboration with Saatchi & Saatchi ME for Empty Plates. FCB Horizon Dubai also got recognition with the campaign Breakchains with Blockchain. Other winners from the region include work from Leo Burnett Saudi Arabia and The Film House Qatar.

The UAE continues to position itself as one of the top creative countries in the region and continues to grow on the global stage for creativity.

A Cresta Award is one of the most prestigious global creative accolades. The annual online festival attracts work from more than 70 countries from some of the most prestigious creative companies. Entries range from the latest digital and technology-based creative communications to more traditional areas in advertising and design.

The work is judged by a carefully chosen world-class jury of more than 120 senior industry leaders, who vote independently online to establish benchmarks for global creative standards. The Cresta Awards has four coveted trophies: a Bronze, Silver, Gold or Grand Prix Cresta.

The special Jury Chair Award is yet to be announced and will be chosen by this year’s jury Chairperson, Ali Rez, Chief Creative Officer at IMPACT BBDO.
